I was called weird, rude, and hateful, and told that I got the part of a senile, old woman in a play because “I am like that all the time.” I was also called the R-slur on several occasions.

In high school a was given the roles of Dr. Dussel in The Diary of Anne Frank, the Mayor in The Music Man, and Senator Savage in The Curious Savage, because I was typecast as a curmudgeon.
